Welcome to the Chieveley Beer and Cider Festival!
Following a hugely successful first year, Chieveley Beer & Cider Festival is back. We will be taking up residence again in our traditional marquee on the recreational ground in the heart of the village. We have moved the event to Saturday night, so that proceedings can get underway an hour earlier at 6pm. Having sold out in advance last year, we are fully anticipating another 500 guests on 3th September for a night of award-winning beers and ciders, great food, live music and good company.
We are delighted to be organising this event again this year to raise awareness and money for Hope and Homes for Children with 87% of profits from the Festival going directly to the charity. Learn more about how Hope and Homes for Children is changing the lives of children growing up in institutional orphanages.
We are also supporting children in Chieveley again this year with the remaining 13% going to Chieveley Pre-School. Last year we raised £2,000 for Hope and Homes for Children and £300 for Pre-school but hope to increase that amount this year.
Interested in sponsoring or helping at the Chieveley Beer and Cider Festival?
Last year we had over 30 local and national beers providing interesting and awarding-winning refreshment for drinkers from breweries including West Berkshire, Indigenous, Ledbury, Ramsbury, Arkells, Butts, Loose Cannon and Ludlow. The committee are busy working on this year’s list!
We are delighted to be partnering up again with The Wandering Kitchen to bring a tasty food element to the Festival. Generous snacks, being served from 6pm until 11pm, include Venison burgers, Pulled pork baps, Halloumi burger (v) and Steak sandwich. We are also confirming a second food partner for this year – more details to follow!
We are really excited that The New Side Kickz will be playing again this year in an extended set. Further announcements on bands to follow.
